What does a Showcraft usher do?+
Ushers guide guests gracefully through your venue: greeting at entry, scanning tickets or checking the manifest, walking guests to assigned seating, managing late arrivals during dim-house policy, and answering wayfinding questions. For galas and awards shows we coordinate processional flow with your AV and stage team so the room doesn't lose the moment.
Are your ushers trained on dim-house and theater protocols?+
Yes. Ushers are briefed on house policy — when late arrivals are held, signaling between front-of-house and stage management, accessibility seating handoffs, and discrete escorting during program. Many of our ushers come from theater and live event backgrounds, so they understand cue sheets and the rhythm of a programmed event.
Can you staff ushers for accessibility and ADA seating?+
Yes. We brief staff on your venue's accessible entry routes, dedicated seating sections, companion seating, and assistive-listening device handoffs. For events with significant accessibility needs we assign a dedicated ADA usher with experience supporting wheelchair, low-vision, and hearing-assistance guests.
How many ushers do I need for a 600-seat gala?+
Typical ratio for a 600-seat gala is 8-10 ushers plus a head usher: 4-6 at entry doors during arrivals, 3-4 inside the room directing seating, and 1-2 floating for accessibility and late arrivals. We'll size to your venue layout, ticket complexity (open vs. assigned), and program timing — not a flat ratio.
